Is klasse any good or is it a ripoff, and is there any pure carnauba out there without abrasives? Lots of carnauba I see are abrasive, and will klasse sealant come off if you use a car wash to wash your car or go to the coin operated car wash since those soaps are harsher than the meguiaras gold class or car wash soap you use at home? is commercial car wash soap a lot harsher, as i'd use those during the winter when it's too cold to wash the car outsdie, and will commercial car wash soap strip wax, even tough klasse sealant, or no? and what about car wash commerical wax, the wax they spray on after you wash in the car wash or after you spray it. i s this still good for use, or should I get a new applicator? The problem is, all the applicator pads now are round and I prefer the square one as it's faster and it's easier to grip.ĭoes anyplace still sell the square microfiber applicators? I also have a terry cloth applicator, is this not as good as the microfiber applicator pad? I tried it and it was very fast, but it seems to be much less detailed and it probably wouldn't be able to get into the little grooves that the microfiber can get into, so a terry applicator pad isn't as good right? And if you dry microfiber in the dryer, is it no longer safe to use and has the potential to cause swirl makrs beacuse the dryer melts the little fibers you can't see, or is a dried microfiber still safe to use? thanks. ![]() Does wax have an expiration date? Is this past due and no longer good, or will wax last a while? And when applying wax, I would use a square microfiber, but a family member put it in the dryer, so now it's not good as it used to be. What's better? Is paste better? Is carnauba better or synthetic? I currently have klasse liquid wax that I bought from years ago. This should help you avoid leaving swirl marks on the paint. On the sides, I would recommend applying (and removing if necessary) top to bottom. On the top surface of the car, I'd recommend applying (and removing if necessary) front to back. If you decide on another product, I would recommend that you do NOT rub the wax in swirls/circular motion, but instead go in straight lines in order to avoid leaving marks on the black paint. For black paint, it is often difficult to avoid marks so the Ultima Paint Guard Plus would be an excellent choice for you - no chance of leaving marks. You rub turtle wax ice on, then wipe it off immediately. ![]() In fact, I put this on two days in a row for a "base coat" and since then I've used turtle wax ice wax (WAX, not polish). It's a paint sealant (basically a polymer wax instead of carnuba wax) that is supposed to last up to 6 months. I chose this product because you put it and let it dry (at least 6 hours. I put Ultima Paint Guard Plus as the initial coat. ![]() The waxes today are much better than when I grew up and I don't think you can go wrong with any of the newer waxes. I think you will get a lot of opinions on this, but you'll have to decide what YOU want.
